Elderly Carer

As an Elderly Carer for a private family in Makati City, Metro Manila, you will be responsible for providing compassionate and dedicated care to an elderly family member. Your role will involve assisting with daily activities, monitoring health, and ensuring the comfort and well-being of the elderly individual.

Responsibilities:

Assist with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for any side effects.
Prepare and serve nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary.
Provide companionship and engage in activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
Monitor vital signs and report any health concerns or changes to the family or medical professionals.
Assist with mobility, including walking, exercises, and transferring from bed to wheelchair.
Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Accompany the elderly individual to medical appointments and social outings.
Communicate regularly with the family to update them on the elderly individual’s condition and needs.
Handle emergencies calmly and efficiently, providing first aid or seeking medical help as needed.
Requirements:

Proven experience as an elderly carer or in a similar role.
Knowledge of basic caregiving procedures and best practices.
Ability to follow medical instructions and care plans.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, compassion, and a genuine interest in working with elderly individuals.
Physical stamina to assist with mobility and perform caregiving tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in elderly care or healthcare is an advantage.
First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
Trustworthy, reliable, and able to maintain confidentiality.
