Position Summary:
The PM – Communication Specialist will support Vertiv’s Integrated Business Services organization-wide programs and initiatives. Will play a key role in implementing our communication strategy and adapting it on the way, will also act as the global point of contact (SPOC) for our Hub trainings ensuring synergies and execution on the already established strategy and program.
The role will drive projects from initial concept through final delivery, partnering closely with a variety of stakeholders and leadership teams, across the five Support HUB centers in Columbia, Romania, India, Philippines and Mexico.
The successful candidate should be a content writer, project manager, critical/creative thinker, and storyteller. Collaboration, passion, high energy, structure, and ability to distill clear messages to promote the company’s culture and mission make a strong communication specialist.
Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements an effective communication strategy
- Coordinates internal communications flow, inside and outside our Global Business Services (memos, newsletters, leadership cascades, etc.)
- Owns and maintains content of Internal SharePoint, interviewing employees and writing articles
- Works with key internal role-players to brainstorm content ideas and visuals, in support of various brand initiatives
- Acquires and maintains a detailed knowledge of the company’s policies, principles, and strategies, and keeps up to date with relevant developments
- Ensures seamless execution of projects impacting multiple functions with continues improvement mindset
- Ensures seamless execution of training programs across all hubs, aligning with business needs.
- Manages scheduling, content standardization, and delivery logistics for global training programs across Hubs.
- Collaborates with Hub leaders, HR, functional leaders, and subject matter.
- Monitors training effectiveness, engagement, and impact through surveys, data analysis, and feedback loops
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- PM Certification is a plus
- 1-3 years demonstrated experience in supporting broad-based and successful communication teams and programs
- With extensive experience in managing communication with senior leaders and across global stakeholders with regards to business transformation/transitions and all PMO business development, strategies and initiatives.
- With experience in conducting global based project management trainings/lean six sigma and similar broad based learning in project management.
- Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, and related business and communication tools
- Exceptional communication in English (written and spoken) and presentation skills
- Solid understanding of project management principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, good storyteller
- Ability to distill clear messages
- Strategic and creative thinker
- Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
- Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
- Writing and editing skills
- Ability to use software to format newsletters
