The Portfolio Manager plays a critical role in managing, optimizing, and executing the company’s product and service portfolio strategy to drive revenue growth, customer retention, and market competitiveness. This role is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle management, go-to-market (GTM) execution, monetization strategies, and performance optimization of products and services under their portfolio. The Portfolio Manager ensures that all offerings are commercially viable, customer-centric, and aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Portfolio Strategy & Lifecycle Management
-Manage end-to-end lifecycle of products and services, from development to launch, enhancement, and eventual retirement.
-Ensure portfolio alignment with business goals, market trends, and customer needs, optimizing differentiation and positioning.
-Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify gaps, trends, and opportunities for innovation.
-Develop and maintain a portfolio roadmap, ensuring structured planning and execution of enhancements, new launches, and feature retirements.
2. Go-to-Market (GTM) Execution
-Develop and execute GTM strategies for product launches, feature rollouts, and service expansions in coordination with Marketing, Sales, and Digital teams.
-Work with cross-functional teams to define customer segmentation, key messaging, and promotional strategies that drive awareness and adoption.
-Ensure seamless customer journey integration, optimizing acquisition, engagement, and retention touchpoints.
-Collaborate with internal teams to define success metrics for each GTM initiative and track performance.3. Monetization & Revenue Optimization
-Implement pricing strategies, bundles, and revenue models that maximize customer lifetime value (CLV) and profitability.
-Collaborate with Finance and Analytics teams to analyze revenue impact, pricing elasticity, and cost structures.
-Develop and optimize upsell and cross-sell initiatives, leveraging data-driven insights to enhance customer spending.
-Monitor and refine pricing structures based on competitive benchmarking, market demand, and customer feedback.
4. Performance Tracking & Continuous Optimization
-Develop and maintain real-time performance dashboards, tracking key metrics such as revenue contribution, customer adoption, and engagement.
-Conduct post-launch evaluations and A/B testing to assess campaign effectiveness and optimize strategies.
-Identify underperforming products/services, proposing data-driven action plans for improvement or retirement.
-Work with AI-driven analytics and predictive modeling to forecast demand and enhance decision-making.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Execution
-Act as the central point of coordination between Product, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Customer Experience teams.
-Ensure alignment between portfolio strategy and business execution, maintaining smooth operational workflows.
-Work closely with the Customer Experience team to address service issues, pain points, and customer feedback.
-Drive process improvements, ensuring faster time-to-market and operational efficiency in execution.
6. Strategic Partnerships & Ecosystem Expansion
-Identify strategic partners that complement portfolio offerings (e.g., fintech, digital services, device manufacturers).
-Support negotiations and execution of co-marketing, co-branding, and partnership integrations.
-Collaborate with external stakeholders to develop innovative solutions and service enhancements.
7. Stakeholder Management
-Provide portfolio insights and recommendations to senior leadership for decision-making.
-Work closely with the Portfolio Management Head to align strategies with company-wide objectives.
-Lead, mentor, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of portfolio initiatives.
